Curriculum

Course Objective:
 
  In this course we will learn the roles of  government and the  different perspective of one's rights and obligation as a citizen. Also, the benefits of having rights and other's respecting it.     

Course Description:
 
The following weeks will be a challenging yet invigorating learning experience. We will research and discuss how civil society makes it possible, individually or in association with others, to bring their influence to bear on governement in ways other than voting and elections.

Intro of Ms. Devlin
 
Graduated from N.C. A & T State University with a BA in Political Science. Currently in graduate school pursuing a masters in education. First year teaching, before teaching was a program manager at a residential group home for a non profit organization. Afterwards, became a school advisor for an educational non profit organization located in Washington, DC. My future goal is to oversee a federally funded program assisting high school seniors financially with college.

* No D's will be given out. Extra credit will be given to student's who's attedance is 85% or better and completion of submitted work assignmemnts.
